About ISOGKP

Institute for Seismic-Resistant Structures and Climate Change

is a national research institute registered with the Ministry of Education and Science. Our core focus is earthquake engineering—advancing the design, assessment, and retrofit of seismic-resilient structures. We also study multi-hazard risks, including fires and their effects on the built environment, floods, and other human-induced threats. In parallel, we pursue climate-change research with an emphasis on green technologies for clean power generation (solar PV and wind). The Institute maintains strong field capabilities in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of buildings and infrastructure.

Departments

  1. Earthquake Engineering

  2. Environmental Hazards & Engineering

  3. Green Engineering

  4. Monitoring Laboratory (SHM)

Our Philosophy

Multi-hazard thinking, lifecycle resilience.

We believe safer, low-carbon communities are built on science, integrity, and practical impact. We combine rigorous research with field monitoring to turn evidence into solutions that protect people and infrastructure. We work openly with partners across academia, industry, and government, and we measure success by resilience delivered—structures that perform, risks that are reduced, and clean energy adopted.

Our Mission

is to make the built environment safer and more sustainable by advancing earthquake engineering and multi-hazard risk reduction; delivering rigorous research, testing, and structural health monitoring; and accelerating the adoption of green energy technologies (solar PV and wind) for a resilient, low-carbon future.

Vision

To be the leading center that turns scientific insight into resilient structures, multi-hazard safety, and clean-energy solutions for a sustainable built environment.

Collaboration and knowledge sharing

We unite academia, industry, and public institutions to collaborate and share knowledge, keeping people’s safety the top priority in every project and assessment.
